Louis Liang-Yu Ko is a first-year Ph.D. student at Stanford Sociology. His research centers on political sociology, with a focus on state-society relations, political culture, and public opinion. Specifically, he investigates how political trends such as polarization or nationalism interact with cultural and institutional factors in East Asian democracies using mixed methods.
